Booking.com Reveals Da Nang as the Most Sought-After Travel Destination in Vietnam for National Day

According to a circular issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, public workers in Vietnam are entitled to four consecutive days off from September 1 to 4 in celebration of National Day (September 2). Varun Grover, the country head for Vietnam at Booking.com, noted an increase in demand for staycations, drivecations, and short breaks among Vietnamese travelers during this upcoming National Day weekend. The Booking.com Travel Confidence Index 2023 also revealed that coastal locations were highly preferred by Vietnamese travelers, with 61 percent expressing interest in islands and beaches, closely followed by cities at 60 percent. This preference for coastal destinations was evident in the top 10 domestic destination searches on Booking.com, with six out of the top 10 being coastal destinations. These expats rated various aspects of expat life, such as the local cost of living, availability of housing, career prospects, access to high-speed internet, and the quality of healthcare. This is the 10th year in a row that InterNations has conducted this survey, with nearly 12,000 expats participating. The survey provides an accurate ranking of the best places to live in the world, known as Expat Insider 2023. The participants in the survey represent 177 nationalities living in 181 countries or territories. The report ranks 53 countries based on factors like quality of life, ease of settlement, and personal finance.
